DWORSKY LOOKING TO SHARE WANTS CHAMBER TO STUDY COSTS.(Local)

With the city and Rensselaer County government facing fiscal crunches, City Manager Steven G. Dworsky is asking the Chamber of Commerce to study ways localities can share costs.

Dworsky said he chose the chamber to keep the discussion clear of politics. "By having it under the chamber, the recommendations would be taken out of the public arena."

Rensselaer County has proposed a 39.6 percent tax rate increase for 1991, while Troy is looking at an 8.6 percent hike.
